On Thursday morning of April 16th 2026 at the Calhoun Middle School, members of the James Huey Chapter of West Monroe presented the winners of their Sgt. Moses Adams Memorial Middle School Contest that were chosen during their March 24th Chapter meeting. 1st place was awarded to Blaine Thomas, 2nd Place was awarded to Carlie J. Roy, 3rd place was awarded to Cole Hennessy and honorable mention was awarded to Hallie Diaz.
Each winner was presented their award and prize by Chapter President Ted Brode. Chapter winner Blaine Thomas's entry advanced to compete at the State level during the Louisiana Society Sons of the American Revolution Annual meeting held on April 11th at the Hotel Bentley in Alexandria, where Mr. Thomas's entry was chosen 1st place in the State. Mr. Thomas's entry will now compete at the national level with other entries from around the nation this July 10th-16th 2026 in Greensboro, North Carolina during the 36th Annual Son's of the American Revolution National Congress.
