On Thursday morning of April 16th 2026, members of the James Huey Chapter of West Monroe presented Anabelle Huber of the Geneva Academy of West Monroe, her certificate and prize for her entry in the Louisiana Society Sons of the American Revolution Knight Essay contest. Ms. Huber's essay, "How Spain helped secure America's Liberty" was first chosen by James Huey Chapter Members during their February 24th meeting and again was chosen by the Louisiana Society Sons of the American Revolution during their Annual meeting at the Hotel Bentley in Alexandria on April 11th. Ms. Huber's entry will now compete at the national level with other entries from around the Country this July 10th-16th 2026 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
